Our Cottage has a full kitchen, bathroom and living room plus a beautiful bonus 3-season room with vaulted ceilings and a queen sofa pull out. This lovely room provides a great respite, enjoy the crosswinds and the view of the magical forest. The house has comfortable beds, fixtures, stocked kitchen and everything you need to relax and have fun.1.9 mile to Cahoon Hollow Beach and 1.5 miles to Great Pond.
This Cottage is a perfect retreat for a romantic getaway, perfect for a young family/couple with 2 children, writer's getaway to focus on crafting that novel or retirees who seek quiet, peace and calm.

Wonderful centralized location - easy access to Wellfleet's best beaches and freshwater ponds. Located two miles from the Atlantic Ocean and one mile from Cape Cod Bay. Enjoy a short walk to Dyer Pond, a secluded kettle pond. Great Pond is 1.5 mile and Cahoon Hollow Beach is 1.9 miles, just a bike ride away. Just a short walk into town to Wellfleet Center via Pine Point Road over to Uncle Tim's Bridge. Central location gives great access to ocean, ponds, bay and bike paths.
Wellfleet is a small village on Cape Cod known for its many art galleries and beautiful beaches. The beaches and glacial freshwater ponds are part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. In addition, there is a natural harbor in Wellfleet where boats can be rented and sports fishing is available. The town has many fine restaurants and there are two summer actors theaters and a very active arts community. Another wonderful attraction is the Wellfleet Drive-In Theater which has been entertaining six generations of summer visitors.

Cleaning: The Cottage will be cleaned and inspected after your departure. Simple things like leaving the property tidy, running the dishwasher and taking out the trash are expected of our guests.

Summary: Lovely, super clean cottage, close to everything you want in Wellfleet. This stay was my summer get-away. Everyday started with breakfast on the front porch, then packed lunch and headed to a new Wellfleet beach til early afternoon, stopped for a dip in a pond on the way home. Napping, reading. Walk to ice cream and quick drive to downtown Wellfleet food, entertainment, shopping and sunsets. The cottage has everything you want. My grown daughters came for 2 nights and everyone loved it. We used all of the beds upstairs and the pull out couch downstairs. All get an A+. A friend came for a night and we enjoyed a great thunderstorm from the front porch, walked in the cypress forest and the beach, swam, ate and just chilled. Great place to unplug.

Summary: Was a great house close to the pond and the beach. The house owner was very kind and answered questions we had while we were there very quickly and respectfully. Overall an amazing place to stay to enjoy the summer on vacation.

Summary: Nicely appointed cottage in a great location. A few things to consider : - The bedrooms are on the top floor, and the bathroom is on the bottom floor. - queen bed can be difficult to navigate for tall guests (>6’) given the slanted ceilings - indoor shower was unusable, and when I informed the host, she appreciated the heads up and promised to rectify the situation immediately - outdoor shower is decent - the backyard space with a table/chairs isn’t a compelling place to spend time - 3 season porch is lovely - we didn’t need the mini-splits to cool the place. We opened the windows, which gave us a nice, fresh breeze - host was interested and engaged with us. - the cottage is right next to the host’s home. She greeted us when we arrived. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Summary: We had a wonderful time during our stay. The cottage was comfortable for my family of three. It was perfectly located with a feeling of seclusion but also close to all the restaurants/shops/beaches. I would highly recommend this location to a family looking for a quiet getaway while still be close to all the popular spots Wellfleet has to offer!

Summary: This was our second year staying at the summer cottage. It is a charming post and beam with everything we need for a week with our two boys. The house is clean, cozy, and tucked away in a quiet wooded area with a few other homes. I especially love reading in the three season room. We love the location, close to the ponds, town, and convenient to get to all that Wellfleet has to offer. Mary Ellen is kind and helpful, checking in to make sure we arrived and that check in was smooth, and also letting us know about events in town or new restaurants we should check out. We can’t recommend the summer cottage enough and look forward to coming back!

Summary: Mary Ellen was very accommodating and readily available to address any questions we had. This place was extremely clean! I have allergies and nothing there bothered me at all. The location to downtown Wellfleet was perfect, distance to Newcomb beach was nice, bout 5 to 10 minutes. We saw many seals, kids thought that was pretty cool, and so did I. Places we enjoyed to eat were the BOL for breakfast, great smoothie type breakfast, little pricey but worth it. The Pearl restaurant was amazing! Also, people in the neighborhood actually knew Mary Ellen so it was kind of like being welcomed by a family who was well known in the community. Great stay, look forward to going back!

Summary: We so enjoyed our vacay in this wonderful, well-appointed Cape cottage, it is newer and clean and has everything you need. Higher quality furnishings than one normally sees in a rental cotttage. I’ve often joked that rental cottages are where old, mismatched furniture goes to die, but not here! Lives larger than it’s compact square footage; it’s flexible floor plan met our needs very well. Other reviews are correct, the owner is indeed responsive and friendly. Would definitely rent this again.
